Finally...a Froberg's Farm report!

Our Mother's Group activity in March was to go to Froberg's fruit and vegetable farm in Alvin, TX.  I think this was a first-time experience for most of us, and turned out to be a really fun event!  I'm pretty sure everyone came home with at least one bucket-load of strawberries...and within a few days there were strawberry pies, strawberry cakes, and strawberry ice-cream, oh my!
We may just have to make this one a tradition...

Thank you UTMB Resiterns

Resiterns,

We received the most wonderful letter in the mail today.  Thank you for the thoughtful donation in memory of Jase David.  We are overwhelmingly grateful for the support that we have received from Resiterns.  This is the perfect gift and we are truly thankful.

For those of you who may not know, our son - Jase David Johnson - was born on March 23, 2011.  He is now in Heaven.  Although we desperately miss him, we are able to celebrate knowing that he is alive, well and healthy in the arms of Jesus.

Thank you for your love, support and prayers,
John Mark and Megan

Texas Hold 'em 2011

Tonight, Resiterns hosted our annual Texas Hold 'em at Shrimp n' Stuff Restaurant! We had a GREAT time playing a little poker, eating a lot of yummy food and talking and laughing a whole lot! This is always such a fun event, and I'm already looking forward to next year's poker night. Ladies, we have a whole year to hone our Texas Hold 'em skills. Maybe next year, one of us girls will actually win! : )

Congratulations to Courtney Rai, our March Resitern of the month! Thanks for all of your help and hard work selling ads for the "Inside Galveston" book! We appreciate you! : )

Mother's Group Mardi Gras Parade

We are going to take a step back to the last weekend in February for a minute. The Mother's Group organized an outing to the Mardi Gras 2011 Kick-Off Parade on Seawall complete with beads for everyone and Mardi Gras balls and stuffed animals for the kiddos. We had a great time even if our ice cream eating place was moved from the Spot to McDonald's.  : ) Here are a few pictures of the fun for everyone to enjoy:

Most of the Gang before the parade began

Some of the kiddos at the parade. Despite their less than interested looking little faces, I promise they had fun! This picture was just taken between floats. : )

Even one of our four-legged Resiterns babies came to the parade!

The sites you see in Galveston sometimes leave you speechless.
