Painted Potter

The Resiterns' women had a FANTASTIC night at Painted Potter! It is always fun to take some time out of the week and to see how creative everyone can be while we all sit around, paint and laugh with each other. We owe a huge thanks to Ericca Lee for planning such a fun event and for bringing yummy snacks and wine. It was perfect, and we were SO excited to welcome some new faces!

While we didn't actually get any pictures of our painted pottery, we got plenty of pictures of our sweet Resiterns friends!

We are sad to say goodbye to Brie this year, but we are SO glad that you could come paint with us one last time. We are going to miss you!

We did manage to get Katie in one shot before she headed home. : )

Our group picture minus Katie and Stephanie. They had to leave before we could take the photo.

Hard at work!

Thanks, girls, for such a fun night! I'm already excited about next year! : )

A Little Resitern of the Month Catch-Up...

We are a little behind on announcing our past two Resiterns of the Month, so it's time for a little catch up!

Congratulations to May Resitern of the Month, Jen Coughlin!
Bon Voyage was AMAZING, and we want to thank you for all of the work you do for Resiterns!

Congratulations to June Resitern of the Month, Laura Piovesana!
You have done such a great job with service this year, and we appreciate your hard work (and you Italian cooking skills, too!)! : )

Guy's Golf

There are no pictures to share, but I am happy to report that the guys enjoyed their golf outing this past weeekend.   Thankfully this year there were no wild hit balls that landed on windshields.  Hopefully you all have a chance to play a few more rounds the rest of the year.   Next year will be here before you know it!

Take me out to the ball game...

Last Sunday, Resiterns headed out to Minute Maid Park for a family day at the Astros game. It was a gorgeous day in Houston...no humidity, a breeze, sunshine, clear skies. All in all, it was a perfect day to take the family to a baseball game. We had a great time, and we want to thank Erin and Amanda for organizing this event!
We had cheap seats, but we were in the shade. It was perfect!

The second half of the Haynes Family, Ken and Hailey.

With the Zumbathon and Astros game, it was a fun and busy weekend for Resiterns. A few of us couldn't last till the end. :)

ZUMBATHON!!!

Resiterns hosted our first ever Zumbathon last Saturday! Everyone who went had a GREAT time, and former Resitern member, Laurie Hendricks, was such a fun Zumba instructor. We raised money for the Resource & Crisis Center of Galveston County, which is essentially a shelter for battered women and their children. Resiterns members bring monthly toiletry donations for the shelter to our meetings, so we decided that we would continue to support this great cause!

 Before the fun begins!

Our own personal Zumba instructor, Laurie! Thanks so much for volunteering your weekend! We all want you to make a DVD, so we can Zumba in our own living rooms!

You can see by everyone's face what a fun time this event was!

Shake what your momma gave you!

A great group of sweaty girls. : )

SO much fun!

We even had door prizes...Zumba towels, a cookbook, a Fit to Run gift certificate and Fandango movie passes!

A couple of our door prize winners

Some of the group after the Zumbathon

We will definitely be doing another Zumbathon, and next time, we will pick a weekend where there aren't 500 other things going on in Galveston! : ) We still have some t-shirts left, so if you are interested in donating to a great cause and want to buy one for $10, let us know! The proceeds go to the RCC. We look forward to seeing you at the next Zumbathon!
