Welcome Anna Kate Walton

Congratulations to Benji and Lindsey Walton on the arrival of their precious baby girl, Anna Kate.  She entered the world on August 23rd weight 6lbs. 7oz.

Wine Tasting and Tour at Haak Winery

Where:  Haak Winery

When:  Saturday, September 10th
            Tasting and Tour 5-7pm
             Music and Dancing 7pm-Whenever!

Please join us for an evening of wine tasting and fun at the Haak Winery!  Resiterns will cover all costs of the tour and tasting after a $5 contribution from each adult in attendance.  The tour will start at 5pm and will go to approximately 7pm.

We invite you to stay to hear the Level One Band play and teach the audience some basic line dancing!  The band starts at 7pm, and there is an additional $5 entertainment fee.

**There is no charge for the tour and tasting or music entertainment for those under 21 years of age**

You may want to bring lawn chairs if you plan to stay for the music portion of the evening. There is a cafeteria on site, therefore no outside food or drink is allowed.

Ladies Newcomer's Brunch!

The Ladies Newcomer's Brunch this year was a huge success!  It was well attended by both members, new members, and faculty wives.  It started with a "Mimosa mix & mingle" time.  This was great to meet all the new faces!

A special thanks to Andrea Fronk for donating her time and talents to play the harp for us.  It was a perfect touch!

We also had our annual "style show".  This year we asked The Style Co. if they would be interested in sponsoring this event.  Tiffany, the owner, was amazing to work with  planning this event.  She donated her time, clothes, and gift card for the event.  Not to mention she gave everyone at the brunch a 25 % off coupon!  She is located  on 14th Street across from Mosquito Cafe!

Welcome to the Island 2011!

A BIG thanks to Ericca Lee for planning a great "Welcome to the Island" celebration for the incoming residents at UTMB!  We had a great turn out and everyone had a blast!  It was the perfect backdrop for a true Galveston style welcome- Joe's Crab Shack on the Pier.
